Aditya Kiran College of Applied Studies
is an unaided self financing degree college affiliated to
Kannur University and started functioning in October 2002.
Krishna Education and Social Development Trust, Sooranad North
PO, Kollam District is the current managers of the college.
The College is in pursuit of excellence and provides quality
education. The Institute is situated on a lovely hillock surrounded
by lush greenery with panoramic view. The calm and serene
atmosphere is ideal for intellectual pursuance. The Institute
is 14 km south-east of Payyannur town and 10 km east of Pilathara
on the National High way (NH17).
The College is equipped with modern facilities like computerized
reference library, well equipped IT, Microbiology, Biotechnology,
Biochemistry and Chemistry Laboratories, ISDN internet facilities
and provision for uninterrupted power supply.
The Institute provides hostel accommodation for both boys
and girls. The hostels are very close to the campus. Tutorial
system is in full swing to motivate the students for better
academic excellence. Individual attention and counseling is
given to each student through mentoring. Tests and examinations
are conducted regularly and parents are intimated about the
progress of their wards from time to time. Parent Teacher
Association actively takes part in the planning of the Teaching
–Learning process in AKCAS. Special coaching is given
in Communicative English and Interview Skills for all students.
Application for admission
Application for admission in the prescribed form must be submitted
to the Principal. Application form and prospectus can be had
from the College Office, Krishnagiri, Mathamangalam PO–
670 307 on payment of Rs.100/-
Selection
of Candidates
Application provisionally selected for admission will be informed
by post and the Selection List will be published on the Notice
Board. The Principal reserves the right to reject any application
without assigning reasons.
Interview
The final list of candidates selected to the Course will be
prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in the qualifying
examination and the Entrance Test/Interview.
Enrolment
The candidates who are selected after the interview will be
enrolled immediately on payment of all the fees prescribed.
Those who leave the College in the middle of a term shall
remit fees for full term. Fees once collected will not be
refunded.
