With a mission to provide academic nourishment and nurture excellence to bring out dynamic executives the Department of Management Studies, Kannur University has metamorphosed through the six years of its existence to a managerial hub providing excellence.

 With sturdy edifice and core ethical values put to the fore, it has been successful in imbibing the best of the skills and insight in order to mould young men and women to face the constantly shifting kaleidoscope of competitive pressures and opportunities. The department offers specialization in five streams: Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, International Business and Systems. The course is conducted under the dual specialization areas of his / her choice. Alongside industry relevant curriculum, an array of programmes is organized to bring out the talent and dynamism in the students. The department seeks to develop the growth of each student as a competitive, creative and compassionate person.

Ample exposure to current business scenario is ensured to the students through organizational training at the end of second semester and summer project at the beginning of fourth semester. The emphasis is on evoking each of the students to make leadership an experience and help them realize concepts and theory to practical business and industry requirements.

In tune with the increased need for learning, the Department of Management Studies provides the students with opportunities to explore the vagaries of business with the help of 24-hour internet access through leased line and a well equipped library that caters to the multifarious interests and aspirations of the students.

The Department of Management Studies offers students a friendly environment. Campus life pivots around library, computer lab, seminar hall etc., which serve as social centers and provide congenial surroundings for the students to learn with one another. The diversity of student backgrounds and social interests add variety to the group living experience.
