Kannur University aims at being a pace setter and plays an innovative role in management education in South India. In tandem with its vision, various programs had been arranged by the Department of Management Studies, thereby providing the aspiring managers scope for innovative thinking and knowledge about the challenging facets of business.

Dr. A. C. Muthiah, Chairman of SPIC Ltd. On the occasion of 1^st A. K. Kaderkutty Memorial Lecture in reminiscence or this great visionary had shared his outlook on the topic “Leadership in the changed scenario – India in search of global leaders”. It was aimed to set new thoughts, newer ways of doing business and creating a whole new breed of managers to take brand India to the portals of global trade excellence. 

A two – day National Seminar organized in association with the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India, New Delhi, has been stalwarts from industry and academia speak on subjects like corporate governance and information highway. This seminar had its aim to enlighten the students on various opportunities that commerce and management as a field offered. 

As an outcome of the Industry – Institute interactions, Department of Management Studies was able to initiate the formation of the ‘Liaison Cell’ between industry and the department.
