                   Sri. K.M. Abdur Rasheed has taken over the charge of the Registrar of Kannur University on 17-11-2005.  

                   After passing M Sc. Chemistry & M Phil Degree from the Aligargh University he joined as lecturer in Chemistry in Farook College, Calicut. He is having 26 years experience in teaching & evaluation as a Chemistry teacher at the PG & Degree levels. He is also having 19 years of experience as the company commander of 9(K) Naval Unit NCC, Calicut and in camps conducted at Battalion, Group, State & National Levels. He left NCC in the rank of Lt. Commander. He was the member of the Syndicate of the University of Calicut for more than 5 years and was a member of the Senate of the same university for more than 9 years. He is a member of the Board of Studies in Chemistry (PG) of Kannur & Mahathma Gandhi Universities. Also he is a member of Curiculam Sub Commitee in Chemistry, State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT).
