Department of Geography is presently located near Payyannur.The
M.Sc coure in Geography started functioning on 5th November
2003.The department of Geography was inaugrated by Prof.DR.P.K.Rajan(ormer
vice-Chancellor of Kannur Univerity) on 8th January 2004.This
Department offers M.Sc course in Geography with specialisation
in Geo-Informatics
Eligibility
for Admission
Candidates
with B.Sc,B.A Degree in Geography with a minimum of 50% marks
under partIII(Main and Subsidaries together).Double main or
triple main with Geography,a one of the main subjects will
be considered only in the absence of qualified candidates
with single main.The minimum marks required for admission
and reservation to the candidates belonging to SC/ST,OEC&OBC
will be as per the rules framed by the University/Govt. from
time to time.However,blind/deaf candidates are not eligible
for admission to the course
