Achievements

(1)   Department conducted a 2 day National  Seminar on Health care problems  Law and Ethics – NASHLE-2004  during December 11th and 12,2004.                          
(2)National Seminar on Uniform Civil  Code.
(3) National Seminar on Legal Services Authorities Amendment Act,2002
(4)Legal workshop by the L.L.M students on Health  care issues  for the doctors, students at Kannur and Kasarkode Districts.
(5)L.L.B students participated in various moot court competition at national level
(6)Other Legal literacy camps are conducted by the students of Department. (7)Environmental related studies Conducted by the students of Dept  In Muttanga, Wayanad (8)National study workshop and tribal legal and health literacy conducted in
Silent Valley, Palakkad.

Other Features

The Department runs a Permanent Legal  Aid Clinic for imparting Free legal Aid for the public with the help of Legal Services authority.
Department is planning to start a legal  awareness  camp on health issues by the    faculties and students.
Aids Awareness Clinic. Department functions also a Moot court club.

Extension Programmes

(1) The students of L.L.M visited the   Juvenile Home at Kozhikode for
  Medical survey.       (2) Teachers and L.L.M Students of School  of Legal Studies took classes for under graduate female students  as legal literacy camp. The contribution of the student was  Recognized and they  were honoured  by the SC Judge Justice Santhosh   Hedge.
(3) A socio legal survey on tribal at  Muthanga  &  Silent Valley , Attapadi conducted.
(4) A Prison  visit is being  conducted  every year for L.L.B  Students as practical work to conduct survey on the nature and effect  of crimes on the inmates. Active participation in the Prime Ministers Legal  Literacy Mission Programme 2005 broadcasting through AIR.
