INITIATIVES FOR DEPARTMENTAL EXTENSION ACTIVITIES AND LOCAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME- IQAC

Two projects were initiated on 20-02-2019 by Dept. of Geography, Kannur University. The programmes were conducted under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Kannur University. Two projects were formally undertaken during the programme by the Department with the participation of the local community. The first project was “Resource mapping of Kunhimangalam Panchayath, Kannur district with people’s participation” under the Initiatives for departmental extension activities programme, “Plan for the rejuvenation of Pallyvayal-Anappatty Thodu, Kunhimangalam Grama Panchayath” under the Local community development programme. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Gopinath Ravindran, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Kannur University and was presided by Shri. M. Kunhiraman, President of Kunhimangalam Panchayath. The programme participants consisted of students, research scholars  as well as representatives of the Kunhimangalam Panchayath.
