Departmental extension activity on Local Community Development Awareness cum early detection cancer camp

Kannur University Teacher Education Centre, Dharmasala organised early cancer detection camp in association with Malabar Cancer Care Society, Kannur at AKG vayanasala and grandalayam, Thaliyil on 15/02/2019. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Biju Kandakkayi, Member Syndicate, Kannur University. After the inaugural session, an awareness class was conducted by Dr. Amritha, Medical Officer Malabar Cancer Care Society, Kannur. The main purpose of this camp was early detection of cervical cancer. This was done for women aged between 35 and above. Around 50 people attended the camp. Clinical test was done for the women who registered for the camp. After the test, a detailed report was sent to the individuals through post.
