Developing Socially Relevant Research Designs in Education

A National Seminar was conducted on “Developing Socially Relevant Research Designs in Education”, at School of Pedagogical Sciences, Dharmasala on 27th and 28th April 2009.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. P Chandramohan, Vice Chancellor of Kannur University. Resource persons Prof. (Dr.) A Sukumaran Nair (Rtd. Vice Chancellor, M.G University), Prof. (Dr.) Lokesh Kaul (Rtd. Professor of Education and Dean, Faculty of Education, H.P University Shimla), Prof. Dr. P. S Balasubramanian (Rtd. Professor and Dean, Faculty of Education Madras University), Prof. (Dr.) K.R Sivadasan (Rtd.  Professor and Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Kerala), Prof. (Dr.) G Sudhakar (Rtd. Director, Academic Staff College, Bharathiyar University), engaged expert classes on Ethnographic Research, Qualitative VS Quantitative Research, Interdisciplinary and multi disciplinary approaches in Research, Constraints in research process, Cross cultural Research, Action Research.

A number of 300 (Teachers, Research Scholars, students of various institutions) participated in the seminar. 245 papers were presented.
