Areas of Current Research Interest:

  1. Luminescence Study:Fluorescence study of different rare-earth doped nanoparticles. Study of dependence of concentration, pH and annealing temperature on luminescence.
  2. Nanopowders Preparation: Preparation of nanopowder using various techniques such as combustion method, co precipitation, hydrothermal synthesis, solid state reaction method.
  3. Thin film Preparation: Preparation of thin film using spin-coating, dip-coating, spray pyrolysis, sputtering and pulsed laser deposition technique.
  4. Preparation of Colloids: Production of oxide phosphor- based luminescent colloid. Colloid luminescence of LaPO4:Ce, Tb and LaPO4:Eu in ionic liquid synthesised by a microwave induced method.Other kinds of luminescence colloids were also studied such as colloidal silicon nanocrystals prepared by nanoseconds laser fragmentation and laserablation in water.
  5. Preparation of Silver Nanoparticles: Development of novel approach for thegreen synthesis of silver nanoparticles using aqueous leaves extracts of various medicinal plants.
