SAMANVAY ARTS FESTIVAL

Date: 18-01-2024 and 19- 01-2024 (Off-stage); 24-01-2024 and 25 - 01-2024 (On-stage)

DAY -1


KUTEC Dharmasala organised a four day arts festival titled as ‘SAMANVAY’ to enhance the students different talents and skills. The programme was coordinated by Ragesh sir. The first two days concentratedon offstage items. On 18-01-2024items like English, Malayalam, Sanskrit recitations, poem, story and essay writings in different languages, photography, clay modelling, script writing and movie review in different languages, cartoon, caricature and quizwere conducted. The programmes were conducted at three different stages organised at two general classes and an option class. Students were divided into three houses, red, green and blue. The students participated with sheer excitement and competitive skills to help their team members win.

DAY -2


Day 2 of SAMANVAY Artsfestival, on 19- 01-2024 also focused on offstage items. Items like speech English, Malayalam and Hindi, Debate in English and Malayalam, short story writings in different languages, wiki article writing, water colour, acrylic painting, charcoal drawing, pencil drawing, mehendi design, Rangoli and embroidery were conducted on the second day. Students participated their utmost to help their team members win

DAY -3


Kannur University Teacher Education Centre's Dharmasala recently hosted a two-day onstage competition of fine arts called "SAMANVAY" on January 24 and 25. The first day of on stage programmes featured a plethora of items, including thiruvathira, group song, nadan pattu, Mime and individual items like light music, ghazal, hindustani music, karnatic music etc. Participants, divided into three houses, passionately engaged in both individual and group competitions.


DAY -4

The festivities concluded on January 29 with many group and single items including several dance forms like folk group dance, oppana, and more for dance competitions, drama, Mono acts skit etc. The programmes concluded with a closing ceremony, inaugurated by Dr. Suvarna Sankar P S, Assistant Professor in Physical Education at Kannur University. The welcome speech was given by Ragesh sir and the programme was presided by chairperson Aparna.M. The keynote address was given by Dr. Prasida, Course Director of KUTEC. The felicitations were given by Prakashan C.P, the PTA president of KUTEC Dharmasala, Anirudh V, general secretary at KUC Mangattuparamba campus, Nusrath T.T, Assistant Professor and Dr. Arun Kumar, Assistant Professor at KUTEC. The Vote of Thanks was given by fie arts secretary Miduhula.P. The celebration not only showcased the rich cultural diversity but also highlighted the talents and spirited participation of the students. The Blue House emerged as the champions, while the Red House secured the runner-up position. Trophies were distributed to honour their outstanding performances.
