The Kannur University Teacher Education Centre (KUTEC, Mananthavady) is affiliated to NCTE, located in the tribal rich zone in Edavaka Panchayath, Mananthavady. The teacher education centre was established with the sole purpose of uplifting the tribal community and is the only teacher training college under the jurisdiction of Mananthavady Taluk.
The Kannur University Teacher Education Centre not only focuses on academic activities, “Over all development of an Individual” is our motto. We are obliged to the society in terms for creating socially responsible and adaptable teachers. We also train our students for competitive examinations such as – K- TET and SET . The students are kept in time with the latest teaching learning strategies and technologies used in schools, trained by resource persons from SSA, DIET, and KITE so once they complete the course they are fully fledged teachers ready to spring into action.
We are the only institute in Wayanad providing the programme Hindi Teacher Education and we offer 2 year teaching programme in following subjects:
